1. because almost all medical remedies rely on plants
2. it makes plants grow and we are able to manipulate the light to effect the photosynthesis that it under goes to make new medicine
3. with different types of photosynthesis the pigments change and allows others to be able to take that medicine because that link is not longer there to be damaging to the body
