Ok to solve this we are going to have to use trigonometric functions. For example, the tangent of an angle is given by its opposite side divided by its adjacent side. In the case of this triangle, for the 47° angle we have that:

[tex]\begin{gathered} \tan 47^{\circ}=\frac{x}{35} \\ x=35\cdot\tan 47^{\circ} \end{gathered}[/tex]

Using a calculator we can know the value of the tangent and then find x:

[tex]x=35\cdot1.07=37.45[/tex]

So x=37.45.
