To graph the function determine the value of y for different value of x.

For x = -2,

[tex]\begin{gathered} y=(\frac{1}{2})^{-2} \\ =2^2 \\ =4 \end{gathered}[/tex]

For x = -1,

[tex]\begin{gathered} y=(\frac{1}{2})^{-1} \\ =2 \end{gathered}[/tex]

For x =0,

[tex]\begin{gathered} y=(\frac{1}{2})^0 \\ =1 \end{gathered}[/tex]

For x = 1,

[tex]\begin{gathered} y=(\frac{1}{2})^1 \\ =\frac{1}{2} \\ =0.5 \end{gathered}[/tex]

For x = 2,

[tex]\begin{gathered} y=(\frac{1}{2})^2 \\ =\frac{1}{4} \\ =0.25 \end{gathered}[/tex]

Plot the graph for the function by joining the points.
