How many different 3-digit numerals can be made from the digits of 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 if a digit can appear just once in a numeral?

From the question, we can see that there is no repitition of digit possibility

Now, the first digit position in the numeral has 5 possible digit taking up its position

The second digit has 4 possible occupants

The last digit has 3 possible occupants
