[tex]\begin{gathered} 3x^2+7x-4 \\ 8x^2-6x+2 \end{gathered}[/tex]

In subtraction the term that comes after the word "from" should be the first

Then we will write the 2nd expression first

[tex]8x^2-6x+2-(3x^2+7x-4)[/tex]

Now we will multiply (-) by the terms in the bracket

[tex]8x^2-6x+2-3x^2-7x+4[/tex]

Add the like terms

[tex](8x^22-3x^2)+(-6x-7x)+(2+4)=5x^2+(-13x)+6[/tex]

Multiply the signs of the middle term

[tex]5x^2-13x+6[/tex]

The answer is 5x^2 - 13x + 6
