The formula to find the axis of symmerty is

thus,

[tex]\begin{gathered} a=1,\: b=4 \\ x=\frac{-4}{2\cdot\:1} \\ x=-2 \end{gathered}[/tex]

Thus the axis of symmetry is x=-2.
