QuestionA sphere has a radius of 3.6 centimeters. Find its a. volume and b. surface area. Use 3.14 for A. Round the answers to thenearest hundredth.

Respuesta :

Remember that the volume of the sphere is given by the following equation:

[tex]V\text{ }=\text{ }\frac{4}{3}\pi r^3^{}[/tex]

In this case, we have that the volume of the sphere would be:

[tex]V\text{ }=\text{ }\frac{4}{3}\pi r^3\text{ = }\frac{4}{3}\pi(3.6)^2\text{ = }\frac{432}{25}\pi\text{ }\approx\text{ 54.29}[/tex]

On the other hand, remember that the surface area for the sphere is given by the following equation:

[tex]A\text{ = }4\pi\text{ }r^2[/tex]

In this case, we have that the surface area of the sphere would be:

[tex]A\text{ = }4\pi\text{ }r^2\text{ = 4}\pi(3.6)^2\text{ = 162.86}\approx162.9\approx163[/tex]
