Solution

For this case we have the following sample space:

3 red balls

4 green balls

2 yellow balls

And we have the following sequence given:

red, red, green, yellow

And we want the probability that she picks is green after these selection so then we have this:

After the first selection we have 8 balls (2 red, 4 green and 2 yellow)

After the second selection we have just 7 balls (1 red ,4 green and 2 yellow)

After the third one we have just 6 balls (1 red ,3 green and 2 yellow)

After the fourth one we have 5 balls left (1 red 3 green and 1 yellow)

Then the probability of getting a green one after this procedure is:

3/5 = 0.6= 60%
