Solving a distance right time problem using a system of linear equations

Solution:
[tex]\begin{gathered} Speed\text{ }train1\text{ }=x \\ Speed\text{ }train2=x+13 \end{gathered}[/tex]In 2 hours;
Train 1 would have covered 2x miles
Train 2 would have covered 2x+26 miles.
Thus;
[tex]\begin{gathered} 2x+2x+26=350 \\ 4x=324 \\ x=\frac{81mi}{h} \end{gathered}[/tex]Thus the speeds of the trains are 94 mi/h and 81 mi/h
