Please help me solve this system of equations by addition/elimination method?

The given system of equation is,
[tex]\begin{gathered} 6x-2y=2\ldots(1) \\ y=3x-1\ldots(2) \end{gathered}[/tex]consider the equation (2),
[tex]\begin{gathered} y=3x-1 \\ \Rightarrow3x-y=1\ldots(3) \end{gathered}[/tex]consider the quation (3) and mulitply with 2,
[tex]6x-2y=2[/tex]then subract them,
[tex]\begin{gathered} 6x-2y=2 \\ -6x+2y=-2 \\ --------- \\ 0=0 \end{gathered}[/tex]Thus, the system of equation are, infinitely many solution.
The answer is (x,y) = (oo,oo).
