Members of jurys are carefully chosen today. For instance jurors must meet

or more criterions set by the laws of there particular state. They may need to
3 meet requirements of citizenship, residency, age and literacy, in addn. attornies 5
often question potential jurors before they are selected. Most attornies try to
5 screen out jurors who are related to one of the partys in the case. No wifes or

6 father-in-laws of the partys involved may be chosen. The attornies also screen out 3
7 jurors who have financial interestes in the decision no members of the board of 3
8 directors of the companys being sued may be chosen. Jurors who are likely too be 2
partial in any other way concerning the outcome of the trial are not selected.
