first find g(-4):

[tex]g(-4)=x+5=-4+5=1[/tex]

then, f (g(-4)):

[tex]f(g(-4))=f(1)[/tex]

therefore

[tex]f(1)=x^2-13=1^2-13=1-13=-12[/tex]

answer: - 12
