We can take some values and graph.

x is the independent variable. So we take random x values, plug it into the equation, and find corresponding y values.

We graph the points. Draw a smooth line. There, you wil have the graph.

The equation is:

[tex]y=\frac{3}{4}x+1[/tex]

Let's take multiples of 4 as x-values, that would make the answer (y value) come to a whole number.

First, take x = 4, so

[tex]\begin{gathered} y=\frac{3}{4}(4)+1 \\ y=4 \end{gathered}[/tex]

Then take x= -4, so

[tex]\begin{gathered} y=\frac{3}{4}(-4)+1 \\ y=-2 \end{gathered}[/tex]

Let's take x = 0, so we have:

[tex]\begin{gathered} y=\frac{3}{4}(0)+1 \\ y=1 \end{gathered}[/tex]

We have 3 points, they are:

(4, 4)

(-4, -2)

(0, 1)

We graph them and draw a smooth line. Shown below is the graph of the line:
