[tex]\sin T=\frac{oppos.}{\text{hypo.}}[/tex]

The sine function should be the ratio between the opposite side to the angle T and the hypotenuse (opposite side of the right angle)

∵ The opposite side of < T is VU

∵ The hypotenuse is TU

[tex]\therefore\sin T=\frac{VU}{TU}[/tex]

∵ VU = 8 and TU = 17

[tex]\therefore\sin T=\frac{8}{17}[/tex]

To find the angle T use the inverse of the sine

[tex]m\angle T=\sin ^{-1}(\frac{8}{17})[/tex]

But they wrote

[tex]m\angle T=\sin ^{-1}(\frac{8}{15})[/tex]

They use the adjacent side of angle T instead of the hypotenuse

Then, 15 must be changed to 17
