Given P(A) = 0.74, P(B) = 0.45 and P(B|A) = 0.55, find

the value of P(A and B), rounding to the nearest thousandth, if

necessary

Remember that

P(A and B)=P(B/A)*P(A)

so

we have

P(A) = 0.74

P(B) = 0.45

P(B|A) = 0.55

substitute

P(A and B)=0.55*0.74

P(A and B)=0.407
