The topic that I will be writing about in this essay is a person whom I believe has shown wisdom in his actions throughout the course of his life. The reason I am writing this is that I will be writing seven essays on the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit. I am writing these essays in preparation for confirmation. There are seven gifts of the Holy Spirit, and one of them is Courage. In order to become a better person, everyone should strive to follow the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit, which are various attitudes that everyone should adopt. A person who I consider to have courage is someone who is strong, even when it seems that everything is working against them. My uncle Danny will be my example of courage.
Danny was born in Stockton in 1961. He was raised with his mother, father, two brothers, along with his sister. He attended school in Stockton and I’m not sure what the school’s name was. As a young man, he decided to enlist in the military. In addition to being one of the coolest people I ever knew, he was a brave and kind individual. He got along with everyone and no one disliked him.
Danny was out in battle when he was hit with a bombshell in the head. He was rushed out and brought to a medical professional. As a result, he was able to push through and survive. In my opinion, he is courageous because he risked his life to fight for his country and despite the pain he was suffering, he kept pushing through it and survived to tell the story. Anyone who has been in or is in the military is courageous and shows it every day. In 2017, he got in a car accident and unfortunately passed away.
As a result of Danny, I have learned to do what I know is right, even when way for me to demonstrate this, even if it is risky and could lead to danger. Putting others before himself was a virtue he displayed, and so it should be for me as well. Everyone would be too scared to do anything in life if they didn't have the courage to do it, and that is a necessity in life.
