The rights of states are protected in federal ways in the U.S. constitution

     On December 15, 1791, the Tenth Amendment in the United States Constitution, which is a part of the Bill of Rights, was approved. By declaring that the federal government only has the powers granted to it by the U.S. Constitution and that any other powers not denied to the states by the Constitution are reserved to each state, it embodies the notion of federalism, commonly known as states' rights. With this amendment, the federal government's powers will be more clearly defined, and the concept of federalism will be reaffirmed.
