Religious Books do not promote violence however there are some historical events described in the Holy Books which contains violence.

Religion is the belief of God, and divine / Holy books and prophets. The religion is the belief that a person holds and worship the God of his/her religion. There are many religions in the world, the main are Christianity, Islam, Buddhism and Judaism.
Religious texts or Holy Books make up a big part of any religion, these religions require their followers to read the holy books.
No religion in the world promotes violence, every religion contains and teaches the messages of peace, the holy books contain the old events that have happened in the past that contains some violence but is not encouraged in any way.
