Modern endosymbiotic theory proposes that eukaryotic cells arose from living communities of several prokaryotic organisms.
Endosymbiotic theory- According to the Endosymbiotic Theory, the mitochondria and chloroplasts in eukaryotic cells were initially aerobic prokaryotes (bacteria) that originated in the kingdom Archaea (prokaryotes). These bacteria were originally free-living prokaryotes, before they were swallowed by a large anaerobic bacteria.
Anaerobic Bacteria- Anaerobic bacteria are germs that grow in environments where there is no oxygen. For example, it can thrive in tissue that has been injured, does not have oxygen-rich conditions, and there is no blood flow.
Tissue- A group of cells that have similar structure and that function together as a unit is called as Tissue.
