Applying the angles addition postulate, m<ABC = 20°.

What is the Angles Addition Postulate?

According to the angles addition postulate:

m<ABC + m<CBD = m<ABD

Given the following:

m<ABC = 6x - 4,

m<CBD = 3x + 2,

m<ABD = 34

Substitute

6x - 4 + 3x + 2 = 34

9x - 2 = 34

9x = 34 + 2

9x = 36

x = 4

m<ABC = 6x - 4 = 6(4) - 4

m<ABC = 20°.
