A factor that would hinder the formation of a common culture is the difference in the origins of the different colonies.
What difficulty did the colonies face in being a common culture?
The cultures of America faced a difficulty in forming a common culture because there were individuals of different origins, so each group had a different point of view about the decisions that had to be made.
Broadly speaking, the groups that found themselves in this dilemma were Native Americans, African Americans, settlers, and Europeans (from different countries). Due to the above, it was difficult to form a single culture because they all had different cultural aspects and tried to impose themselves on the others.
However, they had to accept the cultural difference and form a united culture in which there was room for all the cultural expressions that existed.
