Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel's concept of the master-slave dialectic highlighted the fact that there is a mutual dependency between master and slave. Hegel's philosophical theory is organized into three parts: logic, nature philosophy, and spirit philosophy. He outlines his philosophical framework and demonstrates the historical process by which spirit obtains an adequate sense of truth in his Phenomenology.
He builds on the many concept of his theory in his Logic and the Encyclopedia, which he created as a textbook for his lectures. Many of the principles in his theory are expanded upon in his Elements of the Philosophy of Right and in posthumously published lecture notes on philosophy of art.
