Cystoscopy
A cystoscopy is a technique that uses a tiny camera called a cystoscope to view within the bladder. To view within the bladder, a doctor or nurse will introduce a cystoscope into the urethra (the tube that removes urine from the body).
The cystoscope can also be used to insert tiny surgical tools to treat various bladder issues concurrently. If all that has to be seen inside your bladder during the operation, flexible cystoscopies are often performed. If your bladder has to be treated, a rigid cystoscopy may be performed.
