Perspective helps us to understand situations from other positions, to consider other beliefs, experiences and view points. This gives us a better understanding and greater empathy. It reduces bias, judgement and reduces conflict.
By looking at things from a different perspective, you can gain new insight into problems and improve your social interactions.
Collect different types of experiences, such as by traveling, reading, and talking with people. Then, work on building empathy for other people.
Viewpoint is the spot (point) from which you, the artist, is looking at (viewing) the scene. Linear perspective is worked out according to this viewpoint. There's no right or wrong choice of viewpoint, it's simply the first decision you make when beginning to plan your composition and figure out the perspective.
