Due to war, a lot of whites at home were said to have went to war, and those that were blacks were said to have been left behind and thus they were able to access a lot of manufacturing jobs that were said to have been previously unavailable to them.

Thus a lot of blacks were able to learned new skills, and they were said to have joined unions and were known to be a key part of the industrial workforce.

The 'Double V Campaign' was said to have fought for victory at home and that of abroad.
