According to EPA, there has two key programs that provides data on greenhouse gas emissions in the US that is inventory of U.S greenhouse gas emission and sink and the greenhouse gas reporting program.

These programs are complementary and both are providing a higher level perspective on the nation's total emission and detailed information about emission.The EPA data in US greenhouse gas emission indicator come from the national inventory.

EPA is the annual report by US  , its trend to track in total annual US emission by source , economic sector and greenhouse gas going back to 1990. EPA used national energy data that national agricultural activities and other national agricultural statics to provide  a total greenhouse gas emission for all man made sources in US.
