Although as speaker one should also keep in mind to avoid monotony and speaking with one pitch tone. Practice saying sentences with different intonation patterns to change the meaning. For example, if we say a sentence with a falling intonation at the end, then we can turn it into a question of raising the intonation at the end. For example:  "see what I mean", and "see what I mean?"

It's usually depends upon how you sound when you say words out loud. Although sometimes the tone of voice is confused with the written tone.
