David M. Buss and Heidi Greilling came up with this theory of Adaptive Individual Differences, where they state that human beings are all unique in nature and they differ from one another in adaptive, maladaptive and neutral ways.
These differences can be because of several reasons- environmental, heredity, social status, education, sex and the like. Therefore, they can either be inherited, like physical or mental difference, or acquired, like social, cultural or educational. Sometimes, these differences may also arise from the attitude of a person or his or her achievement.
