Article IV of the United States Constitution discusses the relationship between the federal government and the states. It simultaneously talks about the responsibilities of the States towards each other while discussing the federal government's responsibility towards the states.

The Article's 1st Section, itself says that the other states must give full faith and credit to the judicial proceedings as well as other public acts of the other states. Section 2 goes on to guarantee that citizens of one states may be on the same stature as the citizens of other states and the latter cant treat them any less than their own citizens.
