A work environment becomes hostile when a boss or co-worker whose behavior, communication, or actions make it impossible for you to get your job done. Gender disparity is the unfair treatment towards women in the workforce. They may experience this through discriminatory hiring, firing practices, wage disparities, or restrictions on gender-based benefits and promotions. Inappropriate behavior is so prevalent that work environments turns into a hostile one. Signs of a hostile work environment can include but are not limited to verbal or non-verbal aggression, public shaming, severe favoritism and poor leadership.
