Personally, I have to say "Ghana" considering that it was named the "Land of Gold" for a reason. Considering that Ghana was the first and the smallest of the three, I think that it deserves its due props. Ghana managed to become influential through its 'intricate highway system' that allowed Mediterranean traders to travel through their country and then further profited them by allowing them to profit from the exportation of gold through those same traders. In addition, these guys also managed to keep their gold a secret from foreign traders (which was VERY hard to do at the time since those guys were pillaging everywhere). They even allowed the common people to attain forms of gold (imagine an ancient nation not being classist? crazy!). While I'm not bashing the other two because they're also quite impressive - I believe Ghana stands out.
