Respuesta :

The more effective way to communicate is dependent on the situation but generally, literal language is better.

What is Communication?

This refers to the use of words to convey a message to a person and to get feedback.

Hence, we can see that literal language is a language that its words have face-value meaning and as such cannot be misinterpreted, especially used in casual communication.

Figurative language is good and rich, but it can be easily misunderstood as a person might not know that sarcasm or some other figurative word is used to ridicule him.

Therefore, it is better to use plain language, unless in the situation where you want to make the language richer and you need to ensure that the person you are communicating with, clearly understands the figurative language you are using.
