Bronchitis is a disease of the lungs where the bronchi are effected. This blocks the main air passage of the lungs and sequentially results in inflammation of the lungs. This is the reason for shallow breaths and unusual lung sounds. The most common cause of bronchitis in children are viral infections. It might also be caused due to bacterial infection by spores or from various different allergens.
