• Lower reparations from Germany and a longer payment period.
• Removal of the "War Guilt" clause.
• Independence to some mandates.

What provisions would have made the Versaille treaty better?

Germany was slapped with a reparations payment bill of $269 billion in current value which crippled the economy and made Germans very bitter. The "War Guilt" clause was very controversial as well because it blamed Germany for starting the war.

Removing both these clauses would have allowed for the German economy to recover faster which would have prevented Hitler from taking over and starting WWII.

Territories in the Middle East that were under the Ottoman Empire were taken over by the allies as mandates.

If these places were given independence as they should have been, the decades of conflict between Israel and Arab nations would have been avoided.
