from this period show round faces with slanted eyes. A distinguishing feature of Lichchhavi Nepali sculptures is their simplicity. the use of clothes and ornaments was quite restrained, many Hindu deities, for example, are shown wearing only a Dhoti ( skirt-like lower garment ).
