To add fractions and subtract fractions, you need to find a common denominator that both numbers will go into. To multiply, you don't change anything but you can simply the fraction by cross multiplying which is to see if numbers that are diagonal from each other go into each other.
Step 1: Find the lowest common denominator.
Step 2: Multiply the fractions to match the LCD ( lowest common denominator).
Step 3: Add / subtract the two numerators ( Don't do the denominators).
