Respuesta :
By the law of conservation of energy, the energy input to a system must equal the output. However, when there are more moving parts in a machine, like in a complex machine, the energy converted to non-useful energy, such as the production of heat energy via friction, is increased. Therefore, the more the moving parts, the greater the losses of energy due to increased friction. This is why complex machines are less efficient.

The increase in moving parts of the machine, increases the energy lost to friction which reduces the efficiency of the complex machine.
What is complex machine?
A complex machine is a type of machine consisting two or more simple machine. This type of machine contains various moving parts.
Conservation of energy
The principle of conservation of energy states that energy can neither be created nor destroyed but can be transformed from one form to another.
Energy lost in machines
Some part of useful energy of a machine maybe converted into thermal energy due to friction of moving parts of the machine.
Efficiency of machine
The efficiency of machine decreases as more energy is lost to friction. The increase in moving parts of the machine, increases the energy lost to friction which reduces the efficiency of the complex machine.
