How did the great navigations impact the world?

Technological development allowed Europeans to start maritime expeditions in search of new markets, such as the route to India and the discovery of the Americas. Generating colonization, enrichment of European metropolises and slavery.

Therefore, it was from the maritime expansion that globalization was actually initiated, with the direct and indirect interaction between countries on trade routes and exploration of new lands.
