has an hour half-life). If you have 48 grams of the element,
then how many grams will there be in 5 hours?
This is because if there are five hours there will be 5 half lives due to it decaying 50% every hour. Therefore we would have to dived 48 by 2, 5 times or in other words 48÷[tex]2^{5}[/tex] = 1.5
