you would keep the substance the same and the temperature you are heating to the same. the only thing you would change is how much (or the amount) that you are heating.
for instance, say if you were to be heating sodium nitrate to 33K.
you would keep those two the same, but you would change the mass of sodium nitrate to 0.5g , 1g, 5g etc
