Glucose can be immediately used as fuel, or even can be sent to liver and muscles and stored as glycogen .
The metabolic disposal of dietary carbohydrates is direct oxidation in various tissues. The direct oxidation of glucose inhibits the oxidation of fat when glucose oxidation is released.
