Hey Roger,

I would like to invite you over to have some fun! I’m throwing a party for Lamar’s birthday, feel free to get whatever and whoever you want with you.

Lamar had been feeling down about the school’s homework and she started feeling homesick somehow, so I’m planning to make the party full of happy surprises for her. I tried to invite her parents over, but they said traveling here to Arizona would be hard for them. I’m inviting over her friends so that we drain out the sad and hard feelings. Get her a gift she likes, you know what she likes for sure! The party will be on Friday night, 8pm or so, in the new chinese restaurant beside our apartment. Don’t be late!
