Magnifying Living Things
In this activity, you will look at six samples from living things under a magnifying glass.
Estimated time to complete: 20 minutes
You will need these materials:
magnifying glass (At least 10× magnification)
a leaf
a twig or tree bark
the skin on your hand
a flower
a strand of your own hair (or a sample of pet hair, if you have a dog or cat)
a sample of your choosing
Data Collection
In this activity, you will magnify samples from the five living things listed below. You must also include one sample of your own choice. Your sample could be from a plant, animal, human, or anything that is living.
