the answer would be 100, 000. I used to have a lot of trouble with powers of 10, but if you look carefully, almost every case of a number to a power of another number, the zeros match up.
in this case, the question was asking, what is 10 to the 5th power.
when you find the answer is 100, 000, there are 5 zeros, and 10 is to the 5th power.
Hopefully, this doesn't confuse you more. It's just a trick that I use for powers :)
