I think that the suffragist movement would've won over eventually, it just would've taken longer. If we are of course only considering the NZ suffragist movement then I feel that we would have simply followed suit after the UK. Especially given the reliance that late 19th century NZ still had on British support. Overall it's hard to know the exact historical impact that a delayed successful suffrage movement would have had on NZ history however i'd hazard a guess that things would be more or less the same.
