The formula of area is:

A = base × height /2

A1 :

b = 3
h = 4

A2 :

b = 3
h = 4

The lenght are iguals.

Atotal = 3×4/2 + 3×4/2

Atotal = 12/2 + 12/2

Atotal = 6 + 6

Atotal = 12m
