Answer: The primary audience for the novels is young children. Carroll wrote the books to entertain his friend’s children. The stories are silly and have outrageous characters. However, even older kids and adults can enjoy the story because it is very entertaining.I think the playwright wrote the play for adults and children. Kids and adults would find the play fun to watch. This is true because of the absurdity of the way characters act in Wonderland and the playful way in which they make up words. Adults may also like the play because they read the books when they were children.
