Okay, as someone who plays professional volleyball, I would say one option is regular volleyball. Everything is different except the fact that beach volleyball is on the sand, making it more difficult.
Another sport is Soccer. In volleyball, there are a middle, a left front and a right front who can all play to block the ball and defend the court when the opposite team is hitting. In soccer, there are also defenders. Also, volleyball has 3 backrow passers (including the setter if theyre playing backrow). Soccer also has to players that have to play the ball when it lands on their side of the court. Whats different is that 1) soccer uses your feet, and 2) they have a goalie.
The soccer example can be use for hockey as well.
