Probability determines the chances that an event would happen. Experimental probability is the probability of an event happening based on the result of an experiment that has been carried out multiples time.

Theoretical probabilities:

P(5) = number of sides with 5 / total number of sides = 1/6

P( 1 or 6)  = number of sides with 1 / total number of sides + number of sides with 6 / total number of sides  = 1/6 + 1/6 = 1/3                  

P(no more than 4)   = number of sides that is no more than 4 / total number of sides  = 4/6 = 2/3

P(greater than 2) = number of sides greater tha 2 / total number of sides   = 4/6 = 2/3      

Experimental probabilities:

P(5) =  number of times there was a result of 5 / total number of times the die was rolled = 7/40

P( 1 or 6) = (number of times there was a result of 1 / total number of times the die was rolled) + (number of times there was a result of 6 / total number of times the die was rolled )

2/40 + 12/40 = 14/40 = 7/20    

P(no more than 4) = sum of results no more than 4 / total number of times the die was rolled = ( 2 + 10 + 5 + 4) = 21/40

P(greater than 2) = sum of results greater than 2 / total number of times the die was rolled = (7 + 12 +5 + 4) / 40 = 28/40 = 14/20
