Primary Consumers - Organisms that feed on primary producers, or plants for energy. They are herbivores, and make up the second trohpic level.

Producers - They are autotrophs, or organisms that produce their own food using light, or chemical energy. Plants are the main producers in many ecosystems. Others include algae, and bacteria.
